Thanks for the post. It is a good perspective, but having tried the likes of Dall-E and Midjourney myself, I think the AI has not quiet reached that level yet. Even if it does, I personally doubt it can completely replace artists.

As an example, chess algorithms surpassed humans way back in 1997 when Kasparov was defeated by a computer. 25 years from that day, chess players are still thriving - even more so today.

As another example, today's CGI is so good, we cannot differentiate sometimes if it was a real actor or not. But actors are still thriving.

I think, finally as humans, we like to see and celebrate human endeavor! And just like in the two examples, with better tools, artists will get better and will be thriving.

Ofcourse, no one can predict the future. So I may be completely wrong here :)

There is still a chance that a superintelligent AI will one day really enslave humanity!
