Thanks for the link to the pictures, I love 'em!! Yes I enjoyed visiting all the amazing buildings there, and loved the architecture. We also encountered mostly the young generation, who spoke great english. But your experience does remind me of what our tour guide told us - her parents are really nostalgic about older days and often refuse to answer in english, even if they do.
