Thanks for the feedback! The article is meant to show the simple stuff and mainly the foundations that are worth revisiting more than once. We tend to forget to apply the simplest of functions when one reaches even expert levels (as we start thinking in perhaps unnecessarily complex ways). So in a way, it is more of a "back to basics", and philosophically in the direction of "simple is better than complex". But yes, surely nothing absolutely new as it is meant for beginners.
