With few exceptions, such as ASML in the Netherlands, the European technological landscape is largely barren, and that makes no sense at all: we are more than 500 million people, with the best and most uniform economic and cultural level on the entire planet, with world-class universities and research centers and a large market, but we depend to absurd limits on a country of 340 million now led by an idiot who we foolishly believed would help defend us from a dictator of a country of 140 million. We have the potential to be world leaders, so why aren’t we doing more?
