In such a globalized world, we must have transparent supply chains and a concept of sustainability, rights and ethics throughout the entire chain beginning from the raw material extraction to the finished product. I think that the world governments must really work unanimously to create common regulations such that these malpractices do not occur, which is ironically becoming increasingly difficult with companies wielding so much power.
