I don't know if this article is sarcasm or not. If it is sarcasm, brilliantly provocative!

If not, then there's a problem. The scientific evidence is undeniable, yet sometimes people hold on to old beliefs as if to dear life.

The belief that the Earth was center of the universe persisted in the Church for centuries even after strong scientific evidence began to challenge these views. Holding that view however was relatively harmless, as compared to clutching to a belief that has the potential to wipe humanity as we know it.

Also if a few hypocrites say something contrary to what they are doing, does not mean everyone else has to follow suit. The best thing is to play your part to make things better. And if one has time and energy for more than that (protesters), they should target and call out such hypocrites instead of harassing regular people (as has been seen relatively often recently).
