I am from Goa, which was a Portuguese colony, and this was so similar there! When I was a kid, every morning we got fresh 'Pao' from the 'Poders' (bakeries) delivered by bicycle! And we had them with butter, milk-coffee or tea. Ah, such simple times back then!
